Rupert is responsible for Commercial Finance for the UK, Ireland and Israel regions of Oracle as well as advising on the structure of the Global Business Finance organization. His role involves managing and leading Oracleís Finance organization across the UK region providing support to the business at all levels both internally and externally. This is achieved by leveraging both, local and centralized Finance teams. In addition, he is driving the project to bring globalization and standardization to the entire Global Business Finance organization in Oracle, driving efficiencies and increased service levels, through standardization, centralization and automation. Rupert has worked in the Technology Industry for 15 years, and been in Oracle for the last 8 years. During his time at Oracle, he has led the Global Revenue Recognition team, in charge of revenue assurance for Oracleís entire global revenue stream, and also run the Operations team for the Global Business Finance organization. Prior to Oracle, Rupert held senior financial positions at Pivotal Software, Informix Software and Marks and Spencer plc, having qualified as an accountant with PWC. Rupert is a qualified Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds a Masters degree in Economics from Cambridge University. He is married with four children.

David Bailey

David is a Director in Norman Broadbent’s Chief Financial Officers Practice. He specialises in Board level and senior finance leadership assignments, including CFO talent and succession management projects, divisional FD roles, Audit, Risk and other related control functions. He operates across the full spectrum of industry sectors within public and privately owned companies, or private equity backed businesses. Whilst David’s core focus is on the UK market, he has also delivered assignments in Europe and Asia. He gained direct international experience working for two and a half years in Istanbul, prior to returning to the UK in 2007 with Norman Broadbent. David has over twelve years of search experience and in recent years has developed strong networks within the finance community.

Prior to EFM he spent 25 years in Oil Exploration & Production, with over 10 years spent living and working in Africa, where he held responsibility for running the Finance function. He also sat on the global exploration leadership team of a FTSE 100 explorer managing the exploration portfolio and the risks/uncertainties of business development, such as new country entry, whilst having responsibility for assuring the financial & commercial aspects of investment appraisal, capital allocation & business planning.
