We are really hoping you will be able to join us online from the comfort of your own home from 2pm on Saturday 12th December 2020

Register for the SGM

Once you have registered, you will be sent a confirmation email with information on how to join the meeting.

Please remember to check your junk mail folder for this email.

Please register before midday on the 11th December 2020.

The SGM will start at 2pm on the 12th December 2020, and you can log on anytime from 1.30pm onwards. This is to allow you some time to test your technology works etc. You will not be able to hear any of the speakers until 2pm. You will be able to submit questions online on the day, through the chat facility, although we can’t guarantee we will be able to answer all questions submitted on the day.

Please note: on the day, if two, or more Members are in the same household you will both need to register and login to view and vote at the event. This should be done on separate devices where possible. This will also allow both Members to vote during the SGM.

SGM

All SGM documentation is available to download. This includes a revised agenda and further details about the proposed Rule changes.

As there will be no facility for members to directly address the meeting, the Board are providing the opportunity for members to create a 3 minute video or audio recording that contains the points they wish to make. These will be presented at the SGM as each Resolution is considered. Members can submit a separate 3 minute contribution for each of the four Resolutions.

The recordings must be received by the Society by the 4th December 2020 to ensure they can be included. Please send these to sgm@hfholidays.co.uk

Proxy Vote

Due to the online format of this meeting, there will be a temporary suspension of proxy voting.

I have always been drawn to the simplicity of HF's vision: bringing people together to enjoy the pleasures of fresh air, stirring landscapes and great company. I love striding out on green hills under big skies and thank HF for helping me discover marvellous new parts of the U.K. as well as great walks abroad. Holidaying with HF is frequently inspiring, sometimes exhausting but always fun. I would like these simple outdoor pleasures to be on offer to future generations. It's vital to support our unique organisation as it adapts to a rapidly changing world whilst keeping its core values and vision intact.

I believe that what HF has to offer is really special. I have been a member for over 10 years, have visited virtually every one of our UK houses, been on European and Worldwide holidays. I love walking, from Nepal and New Zealand to special places in the UK. HF provides an extra dimension adding friendship, fun and good food to the mix.

I discovered HF 13 years ago. I was impressed by the good organisation of my first HF holiday, in Slovenia, and many since, in the UK and abroad, including recently my first long-haul HF Holiday. I was attracted by HF's co-operative character - borne out by our highly skilled leaders, team and fellow guests as well as the invariable atmosphere of friendliness and helpfulness on holidays.

I am a relative newcomer to HF Holidays, joining in 2013, but I have felt at home from the start. I love the ethos of a member owned business that focuses on satisfying the needs of its members. I have taken a number of HF Holidays in the UK and Overseas and enjoyed both experiences. The one constant factor has been the quality of our volunteer leaders and we need to ensure that this important element is at the heart of our future plans.
