John joined David Jones department store (established in 1838 to sell “the best and most exclusive goods”) in October 2016, as Group Executive Digital and member of the Executive Committee.
John was promoted in September 2017 to Chief Digital Officer, WHL Australasia and joined the Regional Executive Committee. With responsibility for Digital transformation (inc full profit and loss) across David Jones and Country Road Group (Country Road, Mimco, Politix, Trenery, Witchery). John has an executive MBA, is an RSA fellow, Associate of the Institute Wine and Spirits.
Global chief executive
Chris Vincent Chris leads global ecommerce consultancy Practicology, whose Australian division works with brands including Nike, Converse, David Jones, Country Road, Kikki K, Rip Curl and Rodd & Gunn. He has been responsible for delivering change projects within consumer businesses around the world for more than 20 years.
Prior to joining Practicology as its first employee in Australia, Chris was CIO for Australian fashion retailer Pretty Girl Fashion, and before that Head of Retail IT for surf brand Billabong. While with Billabong, Chris was responsible for integrating seven retail acquisitions into the business. Earlier in his career, as CIO for Australian fashion retail brand General Pants, Chris successfully launched General Pants’ and Surf Dive N Ski’s brands online.
Director of Strategic Partnerships, EMEA
Håkan Thyr is Director of Strategic Partnerships, EMEA at ChannelAdvisor. He is responsible for maintaining ChannelAdvisor’s strong strategic partner relationships and leading initiatives to establish new channels and opportunities for ChannelAdvisor sellers. Prior to joining ChannelAdvisor, he held roles as COO at Firmstep and Partnerships Director at Bazaarvoice. Håkan holds an MSc from Chalmers University.
